Repair Runway M60 Barriers, Tyndall AFB, FL

RBG provided complete design and specifications including civil, structural, and electrical. The design consisted of 65%, 95% and 100% drawings. RBG removed existing MB0 Barriers on each end of the runways and saw cut and removed a 2′ strip of asphalt underneath the cable location on the 14R end of the runway to install concrete to prevent sagging. RBG installed 4 new foundations to support and anchor the new MB100 runway barriers and then installed 2 government provided MB100 runway barriers. One on the 14R end of the runway, and one on the 32L end of the runway. We installed 1200 SF of concrete pads to provide support for maintenance vehicles, and a 4′ wide strip of concrete underneath the 14R cable where it crossed the overrun. All airfield striping and painting was completed as well. Additionally, RBG removed and replaced multiple lights along the runway.
